“Transgender Duet With Myself” goes viral as British trans-man singer Dylan covers Coldplay classic

In 2018, female singer Lots Holloway filmed a cover of Coldplay’s debut hit single, “Yellow.” In 2026, they returned to the exact same location under the name of Dylan to craft a brand new version, then splicing the clips together to create a “Transgender Duet With Myself.”

Emotional, heartwarming, and a feat of true strength and bravery, Dylan’s duet with his past self has been inspiring fans across the globe, while amassing more than 250,000 views within less than a month of being posted to his YouTube channel, ‘Dylan And The Moon’. Music Man readers can watch the magic unfold in the viral video below…

Intercut clips of both Lots and Dylan strumming an acoustic guitar introduce this duet, each sitting on a backyard rooftop in the exact same place, appearing as one before the camera reveals Dylan’s gender change.

It’s not just the song choice, location, positioning, and filming style which are identical, but the plain white t-shirt outfit too, drawing even more attention to the striking differences between the two versions.

Lots’ 2018 verse leads the song, her buttery voice astounding to hear as her all-natural talent is captured in an unlikely setting. But then, Dylan lays a verse of his 2026 rendition, showing off his brand new, bassier voice; a sound just as enchanting, if not more so, given the clear new confidence he has in himself.

Before long, Dylan layers his voice with Lots’, revealing the true beauty of his personal progression, not only in his gender journey, but as a musician and performer. And his song choice is eerily impeccable, as Coldplay’s lyrics relate exactly to Dylan’s story of self-acceptance.

Born in Newquay, UK, Dylan Holloway began his female-to-male transition in 2020. During an interview with Diva Magazine, Dylan revealed how he felt as if he was “in a skin prison,” but described undergoing top surgery as a “freeing” and “ecstatic” experience; “a turning point.”

He faced anxiety about starting hormonal therapy, admitting, “I had built my whole career on my voice and I was worried that testosterone would change the quality or stamina of my singing. What if I lost everything I built?” But, after explaining the journey ahead to his fans, he was met by boundless praise, support, and understanding.

Dylan has become an instant inspiration to those who feel misaligned with their birth gender. Rather than black out his past as a female, Dylan is all about embracing his truth. Asked about his opinions on his old video performances as Lots, Dylan said, “It’s actually such a wonderful experience to look at them now. I think a lot of transgender people find there’s a pressure, whether they put that on themselves or it is external pressure, to eliminate the person you once were when you become someone new.

“At first, I did want to take down all of the Lots Holloway music, pictures and videos but I think that’s because, looking back at that time, I was seeing a person who wasn’t comfortable with themself.

“Now I’m the person I am today, I look back at old footage of myself with this new compassion and love. I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for that brave, resilient, and bold soul that was brave enough to come out. So I thought I would share that concept through duetting with Lots, not just for the queer community but for people in general.”

Dylan’s courageous “Transgender Duet With Myself” is a moving testament to self-acceptance and the power of music. It’s a performance that stays with you long after the final chord. If you want to discover more of Dylan’s journey and watch the viral video, check the useful links below.
