AGT dance audition turns disastrous after shocking injury and ambulance call

Latin dance group Semeneya delivered one of the most disastrous and terrifying auditions in America’s Got Talent history when one of their male dancers injured himself mid-performance, leading to an ambulance being called in the midst of the show, and the dancer being rushed off to the hospital.

Music Man readers can watch the dramatic moment unfold in the viral video below, with the dance troupe’s jaw-dropping 2015 audition amassing more than 313,000 YouTube views to date.

It all begins exactly as planned. Semeneya’s four members – two males and two females – hit the stage in sparkling blue costumes, revealing their planned salsa dance to Season 10 judges Howard Stern, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.

As the two pairs of partners begin dancing in absolute synchronicity, the entire audition room is stunned. Their routine gradually intensifies as multiple lifts wow the judges, one male dancer even throwing the woman through the air to be caught by the other male.

But, just as the throws have taken place, Mel B spots something awfully wrong. One of the male dancers – the one who was doing the catching work – has begun limping through the moves.

Mel exclaims, “He hurt his foot! He can’t do it!” as the dancer and his partner struggle off to the stage wings. The injured dancer sits on the stage by the curtain while his partner appears frantic and dismayed. Before long, Semeneya’s audition is halted.

The dancer tells producers, “My knee snapped,” as a medic rushes to the stage wings. After a quick examination, the medic determines, “It looks like he popped his knee out,” and promptly rushes the tearful dancer to the hospital.

But then, another surprise occurs.

Semeneya’s remaining three members face the judges to make a snap decision: they can either drop out of Season 10 and try again next year or re-audition that same day in a three-person routine.

In a shock move, Semeneya decides to ditch their dreams of becoming a four-piece dance troupe and opt for an on-the-spot re-audition. Against all odds, they whip out a brand new, three-person dance routine which wows the judges. They’re even sent through to the next round after receiving four out of four Yes votes!
