Prince Plays Awesome Solo In Star-Studded ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ Performance

During a star studded performance for The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, Price performed a guitar solo that would go down in history. Prince along with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, and Dhani Harrison played a very special live performance of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.

This was the year Jackson Browne, Prince, Jann Wenner and Z Z Top were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of fame. One of the main highlights of the night was Prince’s epic guitar solo. His solo has been a talking point for many since the performance as guitarists everywhere still watch this video in awe of the quality of his playing.

American singer-songwriter Prince along with his band “The Revolution” performed the song “Purple Rain”. The song was the title of a popular film by the same name released in 1984. Prince released an album called purple rain which was the soundtrack to the film which starred Prince, Purple Rain was the third track on the album.

The song peaked at number 2 on the Billboard hot 100 and remained in 2nd for two weeks before being beaten to the top spot by the Wham super hit “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”. However, the song did hit number 1 in Belgium and the Netherlands. The song is loved by many people and is dubbed as one of Prince’s greatest songs by many of his fans. In France, the song only reached number 12 when it was originally released, however after Price died the song flew back into the charts and hit the number 1 spot posthumous.

This is Miguel Montalban, an excellent guitarist who comes from Santiago, Chile. Miguel is also a composer and songwriter and has been dubbed “One of the greatest young guitarists around”.

Miguel is best known for his brilliant guitar solos. He has a YouTube channel with over 60,000 subscribers and multiple viral videos. In the video below, Miguel plays the lead to one of the greatest rock songs ever “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. This video showcases his great talents, played live on the streets.

He launched two albums back in 2015 called Inspirations Vol1 and Vol2. The releases were very successful selling over 20,000 copies in the first few years!
