KZ Tandigan’s Journey To International Stardom Started With This X Factor Philippines Performance

For KZ Tandingan, the journey to stardom all began with one simple audition on X Factor Philippines, which we will share with you today. From this one performance, KZ Tandingan rose to prominence and became an international superstar who is well-renowned in the music industry, and it’s easy to see why! With her rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, KZ Tandingan quickly became a fan favorite.

While The X Factor is certainly best known for its UK version, which has created many UK chart-hitting singles over the years the competition has been active, the vocal competition has quickly become more popular all over the world. Other countries include China, Chile, and Colombia, whose hopeful superstars all enter the competition to see if they have what it takes to become musical icons. From the get-go, it’s quite clear that KZ Tandingan was made for big things. Her on-stage confidence during her audition is something to behold, with both the judges and the audience being won over in an instant. Her natural vocal control, impressive range, and musical improvisation skills were a recipe for success that would eventually lead to her becoming the winner of The X Factor Philippines and changing her life in quite a dramatic fashion.

After winning the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012, KZ Tandingan became known as “Asia’s Soul Supreme” by some media outlets and quickly became one of the most celebrated Filipino artists of her generation. She has also held a world tour to celebrate her music, alongside performing at the Mall of Asia Arena with some of the biggest artists in the Philippines. The X Factor Philippines was not KZ Tandingan’s only bout in the musical talent show circuit. She also took part in the Himig Handog contest, which is a songwriting and music video competition in the Philippines, and several Chinese musical competitions which helped accelerate her fame. This boost in popularity was also helped by her joining a girl group named DIVAS, which was composed of Tandingan, Yeng Constantino, Kyla, Angeline Quinto, and Rachelle Ann Go.
