Kaylee Rogers Autistic Girl With An Amazing Voice

Meet Kaylee Rogers a young girl from Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. She has one of the most elegantly beautiful voices you’re likely to hear. In the video below you can watch Kaylee performing “Hallelujah” with the school choir at Killard House School in 2016.

The school’s principal, Colin Millar, said that Kaylee is a shy girl but singing is where she can express herself the most. “All my kids have talents, as well as barriers, and this is hers. She’d be a very quiet little girl, but when she sings, she just opens up,” he said.

Kaylee has struggled with confidence in her past and joined Killard House School to help her with her learning difficulties. Singing has been one of the most effective ways she has been able to express herself and has resulted in a noticeable rise in her confidence.

She has had to overcome many difficult challenges to be able to share her voice with others. She has incredible vocal control and a beautiful tone which is suited to many different types of songs and she is turning into an impressive young performer too.

Performing is an art form in itself. Singing on your own at home can never prepare you for the eyes and ears of a live audience, which is why Kaylee’s progress is a remarkable achievement. “For a child who came in and wouldn’t really talk, wouldn’t really read out in class, to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing. It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part” Millar said.

Kaylee’s story has touched the hearts of many people across the world. She uploads her performances to YouTube and other social media platforms (links at the bottom of this post). She has been featured by major news outlets such as Fox 5, ITV news, BBC News, ABC News just to name a few, all these features have helped her beautiful voice reach the ears of many more people.
