How would the real Adele get on in an audition to find the best Adele impersonator? Pretty well you’d imagine, but she would need a good disguise to pull it off, especially as she would be surrounded by some of her biggest fans!
Alongside Graham Norton, Adele had her chin reshaped, her nose changed and her lips made thinner so she could go undercover and audition as another member of the public called “Jenny”. The reactions from the “other” Adele acts there on the day was a mixture of surprise, delight and disbelief when they cottoned onto the fact Jenny wasn’t who she said she was.
Adele Showcases Her Incredible Live Vocals
If you have never seen Adele performing live then you’re in for a treat. She is well known for her beautiful songwriting, down-to-earth personality, and sensational live vocals that has sent shivers through listeners around the world.
During a performance that aired on CBS and Paramount+ on November 14, 2021, the English singer-songwriter took to the stage to perform songs from her new album. At the time of the performance, the songs were brand new and unheard by the audience making this event even more unique. The TV recording was interspersed with an interview by Oprah Winfrey an American television host who can be seen in the crowd enjoying the live performances too.
The Location And Performance Were Both Stunning!
The performance took place at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles which is located on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood. Suffice to say, it was a beautiful location to put on such a high-profile event.

The music wasn’t the only breathtaking show on display though. Adele had the venue dim the lights as Fenton and his future wife, Ashley, who was wearing ear defenders and a blindfold, entered the stage and got engaged. The footage of this proposal has spread across the internet being touted as “the best proposal ever”. It’s a tough one to beat isn’t it fellas?
Adele continued to perform a few more live versions off of her previous three albums 19 (2008), 21 (2011), and 25 (2015). The show racked up a massive 10.3 million viewers making it the most-watched TV special since the Oscars in Arpil 2021.
The star-studded audience included James Corden, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lizzo, Drake, Selena Gomez, Tyler Perry, Donald Glover, Melissa McCarthy, Gayle King, Nicole Richie, Gabrielle Union, Seth Rogen, Molly Shannon, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor, Aaron Paul, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gordon Ramsay, and Dwyane Wade, Kris Jenner, and Ava DuVernay.
