UCLA’s Scattertones Deliver UNREAL Raye Acappella Cover That Leaves Listeners Wondering How No Instruments Have Been Used

‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!’ by RAYE was one of the most popular songs of 2025, with thousands of covers being released online with varying degrees of success. One cover that has been taking the internet by storm in recent weeks, however, is the UCLA Scattertones’ a cappella version of the song, which has racked up tens of thousands of views on YouTube alone.

Fun, fresh, and full of the vital energy that made the original so popular, this a cappella cover has left viewers with their jaws on the floor, with many unable to believe how this cover could possibly have been recorded and performed without using any instruments whatsoever.

The talented young lady who sings lead on the cover has also received a good deal of praise online, with many rushing to compliment her stunning vocal range and incredible confidence. The arrangement of the song that the group has come up with is also incredible, bringing out its jazz-inflected tone with their numerous layers of harmony and melody.

This particular rendition of the cover was performed at the Kaiser Permanente College Notes event 2026, and fortunately, there are many more incredible performances on YouTube from other groups who featured there. One of my personal favorites is the Tufts Beelzebubs’ cover of ‘Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)’ by Elton John, which you can watch below.

Given the recent popularity of the song and the outstanding quality of their cover, however, it is not at all surprising that the Scattertones’ version of RAYE’s ‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!’ is the a cappella cover on everyone’s mind – and indeed everyone’s YouTube feed – right now. It certainly seems to have been one of the highlights of the event, and those who were there to witness the rendition in person should consider themselves very lucky!

UCLA Scattertones’ acappella take on RAYE’s “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” is a joyful, jaw‑dropping reinvention — led by a show‑stopping vocalist and rich, jazz‑tinged harmonies. It’s proof of why the cover went viral. Want to hear more or follow the group? Check the useful links below to discover the video, credits and social pages.
