When it is your job to sit and judge others who perform, it can become all too easy to forget how difficult it is to take to the stage and put yourself in a vulnerable position in front of an audience. That’s why the judges on The Voice Australia decided to take to the stage and remind reviewers that they, too, are more than experienced in the difficult task of getting on stage and performing for others.
Seal, Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem, and Ricky Martin have all topped charts, won awards, and established themselves as best-selling artists in the music business. In Season Two of The Voice Australia, they joined forces to sing Ricky Martin’s classic 90s hit, ‘Livin La Vida Loca’. Each of the judges brought their own signature style to the song, and each one of them proved their credentials when it came to expertise on what it takes to be a singer.
If the performance alone wasn’t enough to prove their chops, the online attention the video received certainly backed them up. The video of their performance received a whopping 13M views, and fans poured praise onto the performance, with viewers leaving comments such as “Almost 8 years on, and still what a performance. Of course, this wasn’t the first time The Voice judges had taken to the stage themselves. The judges took to the stage again six years later on The Voice Australia to perform ‘In The Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins. Delta Goodrem wowed viewers again with her powerful vocals and was joined by Boy George, Kelly Rowland, and Guy Sebastian. Once again, the four judges proved their vocal prowess, leaving viewers with no doubt that they were the perfect people to judge this year’s The Voice auditionees.
With their live performances, The Voice Australia judges proved to all who watched that they truly were the experts in the room when it came to the competition. Not only did they show off their impressive vocal talents, but they also brought their years of experience to the stage to give a charismatic and show-stopping performance. With their performance, the judges proved they had been invited to the show for a reason, being in the best position possible to bring their expertise to the show in order to coach contestants and select the highest quality talent for the series.
