Nawin began the jazz standards medley with Frank Sinatra favorite “Fly Me to the Moon”. The band provided an equally classy backing, with the pianist, double bassist, and drummer delivering a tasty groove that kept the medley ticking along. The Music Man readers will def want to tune into the second song, “Autumn Leaves”, where Nawin expertly changes gears to a somber and thoughtful tone.
Nawin uploaded her jazz standards medley on January 19, 2023, and it has since blown up to 7.2 million views. Jazz aficionados couldn’t get enough of the medley and added comments such as “Excellent jazz singing; many thanks for posting this. I hope you do more jazz songs as your voice is really suited to it. Good band too” and “I loved this. Great singing Mild and great playing. Superb. Piano first class. So lovely and quite relaxing.”
Nawin is really an expert at taking on different genres and doing it in her own style, and she’s scored viral videos in a range of styles as a result. One of her most popular videos so far is her Christmas medley, where she sang six festive favorites, including “White Christmas,” “Let It Snow,” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.” The band also sounds great here as always – that trumpet is super smooth!
