16-Year-Old Singer Goes Viral With Incredible Canada’s Got Talent Audition

We have already seen so many talented contestants on this year’s ‘Million Dollar Season’ of Canada’s Got Talent, which kicked off back in March. Perhaps one of the most accomplished performers we have seen so far, however, is 16-year-old singer Jordan Ho, who travelled from Edmonton, Alberta to show off his vocal chops to the competition judges. His audition – in which he sang James Brown’s ‘It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World’ – has since gone viral, racking up over one million views on YouTube.

Ho left numerous audience members open-mouthed as he sang, with his clear, effortless vocal style and huge vocal range allowing him to put his own stamp on the James Brown classic. He went on to receive a yes from all four judges, putting him through to the next round of the competition. One judge, Kardinal Offishall, was particularly impressed, telling Ho that “I absolutely think you are better than any singer that I have seen so far this season” and saying he was “absolutely incredible”.

Whilst on the show, Ho also spoke about his relationship with his Mum (who was backstage), highlighting how much she had supported him over the years and how she had always encouraged him to sing in her nail shop. This prompted the show’s presenter, Lindsay Ell, to say his Mum was “amazing”, whilst the lady herself was clearly very emotional during her son’s performance. The two clearly have a strong relationship, with Ho saying he would use the show’s prize money to look after her if he won.

Another incredible singer that we have seen on this season of Canada’s Got Talent, meanwhile, is Newfoundland singer Matthew Cooper, who endeared the judges with his modest, cheerful demeanor and then blew them away with his powerful opera singing. “This is Canada’s Got Talent, and Matthew, you have so much talent,” said judge Trish Stratus, congratulating Cooper on his powerhouse of a performance before he was put through to the next round with a yes from all of the show’s four judges.

Even though it’s still very early days in this season of Canada’s Got Talent, we have already seen some incredible performers at the show’s auditions, notably singers Jordan Ho and Matthew Cooper. Ho, in particular, dazzled both the audience and the judges with his goosebump-inducing take on a soul classic, and no doubt many people are excited to see how far he gets in his Canada’s Got Talent journey.
