His hosting on The Late Late Show has become a topic of viral discussion as of late, with his clips being shared millions of times within seconds of being uploaded. Today’s viral clip is no exception, but also features some of mainstream music’s biggest male artists. It also shows the world that not only can James Corden host, but he also has an impressive voice.

It features James Corden, jokingly enticing celebrities, including Usher and Luke Evans, to compete against each other to see who has the sexiest male voice. It also features an exhilarating backing performance, courtesy of The Filharmonic: a Filipino-American vocal group that celebrates its cultural diversity through the power of music. Even Usher interjects with some comedy throughout the skit; after James Corden’s initial riff, he quickly comments, “Wow, somebody get this guy a Tic-Tac!”
James Corden may have hosted a glamorous American late-night talk show for nine seasons, but his beginnings are far more humble than you might expect. His career truly began in the hit UK comedy series Gavin & Stacey, which he co-wrote with Ruth Jones. The show follows two families, one in Essex and one in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan (Wales). It explores their lives in a comedic fashion and has gone down as one of the UK’s best comedy series of all time. From there, Corden’s fame grew and grew.
James Corden announced that he would be leaving The Late Late Show in 2023, which caused a divide among fans all over the world. Despite this, it cannot be denied that the show has been a resounding success throughout its 9-year history. It was nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards between 2016 and 2019 for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and also won the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special for The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special.
He may not be hosting The Late Late Show anymore, but certainly, the entertainment world has not seen the last of James Corden. While he can’t quite riff off with other male artists at the moment, it isn’t an impossible dream for future collaborations. He has announced that he will be getting a radio talk show of his own, titled This Life of Mine with James Corden, which is set to premiere in early 2024.
