Franzoli Electronics is a hobby, an interest, a man, but most well-known as a YouTube channel. Franzoli has turned his passion for electricity into something completely out of this world and it’s super cool to watch. Watch the incredible tesla coil musical instrument in action below.
Fabrício H. Franzoli, from Brazil, created a YouTube channel called “Franzoli Electronics” in 2008. He started uploading videos involving high voltage electronics including a video called “high voltage vs sausage” – which is one my favourites. When Franzoli Electronics started making videos with a powerful Tesla coil, his views started to rack up quickly!
If you’re not sure what a Tesla Coil is this is the definition according to Wikipedia – “A Tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit designed by inventor Nikola Tesla in 1891. It is used to produce high-voltage, low-current, high-frequency alternating-current electricity.”
With the internet obsessed with obscure and unique ideas and new approaches to pretty much anything, Franzoli Electronics was always destined to be a massive hit online. One of his major viral videos is this incredible recreation of the Queen song called “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
If you’re not quite understanding what is going on here, this is a brief explanation of what you’re seeing and hearing in the videos. “The music melody lines come from the Tesla coil sparks. They are playing the music due to the programmed phase, pulse width, and firing frequency! There are no speakers or audio/video special effects involved. It looks better in person and sounds pretty much the same…just without the beat/percussion backing track.”
This is one of the coolest and most geeky things you can imagine. The effort that must go into the coordination of the frequencies must be so time-consuming and mathematically complex? The Music Man has no idea, but he knows that it sounds brilliant!
This is a very unique and creative instrument of which Franzoli Electronics is the master. A completely different style of electronic music, which comes with it’s own low cost music video.
