Casi Joy and Woody James are two country singers from the USA who covered “Jackson” made famous by the legendary Johnny Cash & June Carter back in 1968.
In the video below these two brilliant musicians teamed up to cover this country classic. Since it was uploaded in 2016, it has received around half a million views on YouTube alone. Their vocals compliment each other perfectly and the passion for their genre is clear to see throughout the video.
Casi Joy is a wonderful entertainer with a very rich and powerful voice. She has gained attention across social media after a couple of her videos went viral. Along with her brilliant vocals, she has a great stage presence and has shared the stage with notable country singers such as Montgomery Gentry, Maren Morris, Keith Urban, Carly Pearce, Easton Corbin, Dustin Lynch, and LOCASH.
Casi is originally from Kansas City in the USA. She moved to Nashville in order to pursue her musical goals. Back in her hometown, she is highly respected for her talents.
Woody James is, in his own words, “I’m an up and coming artist from nowhere that’s going somewhere.”. He isn’t actually from nowhere, he grew up in Millington, Illinois in the USA where he started his musical journey when he was very young.
Woody comes from a musical family who encouraged him to learn instruments. The first instrument he learned to play was a mouth organ (harmonica). When he was 14 his mother bought him a guitar and his father, being a banjo player, taught his some chords and the rest is history. Woody has a very distinctive country voice and a wonderfully delicate delivery.
