At just 4 years old, the viral Bruno Mars superfan, Kai Langer, was given the opportunity of a lifetime when he got the chance to meet Bruno Mars backstage on The Ellen Show. What nobody was ready for, however, was just how adorable young Kai was when mixing with some of the world’s biggest celebrities! Taking it all in his stride, he made some superstar connections, sang with a star, and gathered some new clothes in the process!
In the clip, young Kai is sitting backstage when Bruno Mars quickly sits next to him, awaiting a response. Instead, Kai sheepishly looks at the camera and barely recognizes that a world-class superstar is sitting right beside him! After Bruno warmly greets him, Kai lights up and gives him an adorable hug. After this cute interaction, the two break into a rendition of Bruno’s hit song, “Uptown Funk”, which was created with Mark Ronson. Watch the pair hit it off in the clip below:
Not only did Kai get a chance to sing with Bruno Mars backstage, but he also got his chance to be a TV star during his appearance on The Ellen Show! The treats didn’t end there; while Ellen was interviewing him, Kai was given his very own dazzling pink suit, just like the one that Bruno Mars wore in the “Uptown Funk” music video! In his childlike excitement, the only thing he could say to Ellen was “Thank you! I love you so much!”, which was a pure and heartwarming moment between host and guest.
