Real Human Size Robots Dance To “Do You Love Me” In A Fantastic Display Of Musical Robotics

Real Human Size Robots Dancing!

Robotics technology has moved on considerably since films like iRobot came out. The guys at Boston Dynamics have been at the epicenter of advancing this technology and to celebrate the new year (2021), they decided to program three of their robots to dance for us.

Meet “Atlas” the most human like robot on the planet. Boston Dynamics have managed to program this incredible machine to overcome obstacle courses, do backflips, and dance to our favourite human-made music! Watch their brilliant music video below.

Boston Dynamics was founded by Marc Raibert back in 1992. The American robotics company was formed as a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has been owned by Hyundai Motor Group since December 2020. These are the people behind this awesome showcase of musical technology in the video above. Regarding the making of the video above, the company said, “Our whole crew got together to celebrate the start of what we hope will be a happier year: Happy New Year from all of us at Boston Dynamics.”

The company is best known for the production of the following four robots; BigDog, Spot, Atlas, and Handle. Their robots are highly mobile and include Atlas a humanoid robot initially designed for a variety of search and rescue tasks. Below you can watch the evolution of these robots and see some of the, by human standards, unfair testing regimes they go through…some of which are quite funny to watch!
