Katherine Jenkins Surprises Passengers At 47,000 Feet Performing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”

British Airways have really upped their game when it comes to in-flight entertainment. In a special performance at 47,000 feet, the world’s most successful classical singer, Katherine Jenkins, put on a world-first performance.

Alongside the classical singer were dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet who treated the passengers of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a live ballet performance through the aisle as they hurtled towards Moscow. You can watch the mesmerising performance in the video below.

Sadly, I don’t think this is the new standard for British Airways’ in-flight entertainment. Although it would make travel much more enjoyable, it would also probably cost a lot more too. However, this isn’t the first time British Airways have got creative with live shows during flights.

Performing at 36,000 feet!

These are the brilliant voices of The Kingdom Choir, a British Gospel Choir based straight out of London. The choir are best known for their performance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding where they left viewers in awe from all over the world.

On their way to Sydney’s Invictus Games, the choir shocked passengers of a British Airways plane as they performed their hit version of “Stand By Me” at 35,000ft. Watch their awesome performance in the video below.
