Get ready for a cuteness overload as the Baby Games at the Olympics are just too adorable! Someone in the PR department at the Olympics is clearly earning their paycheck, as they came up with the inspired idea to get some toddlers to compete in their own mini Olympics at the Pyeongchang, South Korea Winter Olympics. Set to an epic orchestral soundtrack, these bubs tried their hands at curling, skiing, figure skating, and even luging.
There were plenty of little mishaps, such as when the curling equipment fell apart in the middle of the event, but the toddlers soldiered on to deliver some 10/10 performances! The quirky video was a hit on the official Olympics YouTube channel, where 48 million sports fans tuned in to see the fun and games. Here at The Music Man, we occasionally like to share some light-hearted videos like this, and these bubs certainly have got some big potential!
The video editing, and in particular the voice-over, were absolutely on point, making for a hilarious video. Fans appreciated the surprise upload and added comments such as “The fact that it’s made from the official Olympics is amazing” and “Too adorable! But the fact these little ones are learning to do their respective sports at such a young age is fantastic! Much respect for their parents starting them young.”

The Baby Games turned out to be quite the hit for the Olympics, as the video above is the fourth-most popular video on the Olympics channel. It’s a returning event, as a year prior to releasing the video above, the Olympics released a Baby Games video that gained 99 million views. In the earlier Baby Games video, the little ones have a crack at weightlifting, swimming, and gymnastics.
The earlier video also got a hit reception from sports fans, who added comments such as “This is officially the cutest thing I’ve ever seen” and “The pure quality of this video. This video made me cry with tears of joy. The athleticness of these babies and the pride the adults have. Thank you Olympics.” The Baby Games caused quite a stir online, and the videos from the event were shared countless times on various social media channels, such as Reddit, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter). The popularity of the viral videos even prompted Snopes to investigate whether the event was real or not. For The Music Man readers who are curious about the outcome of the investigation, Snopes determined that the footage was indeed from an official promotional video produced by the Olympics, but that it was not actually a real competitive event.
