Nine-year-old twin brothers Antonio and Paco Cortés won the hearts of fans with their adorable version of Enrique Iglesias’ “Hero” on Little Big Shots. The duo, who perform together as Gemelos Cortés, looked sharp in matching suits. Their sweet voices sang together beautifully on the Latin pop song.
The Spanish brothers first began singing together at the age of two, and by the age of nine, they had their act down to a fine art. In addition to being as cute as a button, the two boys can really sing, harmonizing together with such pure voices. Host Dawn French was practically melting as she watched the brothers sing the hit from the side of the stage.
Naturally, the performance was a hit online, with 4.4 million viewers tuning in on YouTube to hear Antonio and Paco sing. Fans couldn’t resist the charms of the twins, adding comments such as “These little guys are adorable and extremely talented” and “Their love for singing shines so brightly through their smiles and performances like a big bright full moon in the night sky.”
Antonio and Paco first came to international attention when, at age eight, they competed on the third season of the Spanish version of The Voice Kids. When the brothers sang Nino Bravo’s “Te quiero, te quiero” for their blind audition, it went incredibly viral, racking up 118 million views on YouTube. This made their audition the most popular video in the history of the show, with nearly three times the play count of the second most popular video. It’s also guaranteed to put a smile on your day.
The brothers, who were born in the northern Spanish city of Girona, made it to the final round of The Voice Kids before being eliminated. Universal Music Spain saw the twins’ potential and signed them on the spot. Antonio and Paco subsequently released their debut album, Tenemos Derecho a Soñar, just a few weeks after The Voice Kids finished broadcasting.
Antonio and Paco have continued to release music in the years since, with their most recent single on Spotify being the 2021 release “Me Vuelve Loco”. The twins regularly update fans on their musical activities on Instagram, and they have grown up fast!
