This young violinist is called YoEun Seol. She has been uploading videos of herself playing the violin since she was just 2 years old. The videos show how she is progressing into a master of her instrument!
YoEun Seol, from South Korea, started her YouTube channel in December 2014 and has racked up over 9 million views on her videos since. YoEun is doing the musical equivalent of a fitness program’s progress/before and after pictures, but with videos and music. As she learns, new videos of her pulling off very advanced tricks such as sonatas and concertos keep emerging on her YouTube channel. The video below is one of the first videos she uploaded where YoEun is just 3 years old.
Obviously YoEun was much too young to have set up and operated a YouTube channel on her own at 2-years-old. Her mother actually recorded her and uploaded the videos to the internet. The idea arose when her two-year-old daughter embarked on a violin learning course, showing the progress videos online seemed like a great idea!
The video below showcases her full progress from age 2, where she was just about scratching out a version of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” all the way to her amazing, much more advanced playing, at still just age 4.
By age 7 this young violin prodigy is leading a full orchestra of professionals. Her story is brilliantly documented on YouTube with these fascinating progress videos.
YoEun is a wonderful talent and a future master for sure. She is proof that with hard work and determination, you can achieve anything at any age.
