14-year-old Vinya Chhabra stunned The Voice judges with “powerhouse” take of Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic”, then brought it to the next level with a Michael Bublé duet!

This 14-year-old girl was singing way beyond her years and got a duet with Michael Bublé for her troubles! New Jersey talent Vinya Chhabra threw The Voice judges for a loop on her October 7, 2025, blind audition with an epic cut of Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic.” Yes, you heard that right; it’s not the type of song you’d expect a 14-year-old to sing, let alone pull off. But fans had to agree that she nailed the intense emotions of the ‘96 megahit and just sang like a bird on the big stage.

All the more impressive is the fact that Vinya actually added her own new, soaring vocal melodies to the classic number, really making the song her own in an organic way. It’s hard to believe that Vinya is just 14, as she’s a complete package as a singer and performer. On stage, she has the calm air of a seasoned pro – clearly a star in the making, as the judges picked up on. The Music Man is pleased to report that Vinya won the judges’ confidence, with Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire all turning for her.

Aside from Vinya’s “powerhouse” vocals, as McEntire put it, the highlight of the audition was definitely the talented teen’s singalong with Bublé. As a fellow Canadian, the King of Christmas admitted to having a soft spot for Morissette, and at 2:22 said he was singing in harmony with Vinya during the audition. Niall Horan briefly joined in on Bublé’s harmony, and then Bublé transitioned into a singalong on “Ironic” with Vinya. You know you’re doing it right when Bublé wants to be your backing singer!

Vinya’s audition landed with The Voice fans, as her 616,000 view audition was the most viewed segment from the show over the past two weeks. The New Jersey teen isn’t the only one who made an impression singing Morissette on The Voice in recent years. Last year Alyssa Crosby dropped a popular audition on “Hand In My Pocket,” and also got a chair turn from Reba McEntire, although she didn’t match Vinya’s triple chair turn results.

Fans were pretty stoked to hear Vinya bringing back one of the greatest hits of the ‘90s. Viewers on YouTube added comments such as “A 14-year-old singing Alanis Morissette? This girl was able to sell the emotion of that song and hit those big notes” and “This song is 30 years old, covered by a 14-year-old girl. She’s got an old soul!”
