Taylor Swift And Zac Efron Appeared Together On A Talk Show & What The Two Stars Did Next Blew 52 Million Netizens Away!

If you’ve never heard Taylor Swift and Zac Efron sing together before, prepare to be shook because you won’t believe how good they sound together. Swift taught Efron to play guitar, and it turns out he’s a natural, because when the pair appeared on The Ellen Show, they blew everyone away. Swift and Efron’s duet quickly went viral, attracting a whopping 52 million views on YouTube.

You won’t want to miss out on this one, as Swift and Efron gave a spicy roast to Ellen, showing off their comedic chops. The main event was definitely hearing them sing together on their unique version of Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.” Efron took the lead vocal at first, while Swift sang backup, and just wait until you hear their heavenly harmonies!

Swift and Efron began by singing “Pumped Up Kicks” straight, and then they turned the song into their roast fest for Ellen. Efron sang a verse about weird events, and said that appearing on Ellen was weird, while in her verse Swift had a crack at Ellen for scaring her within an inch of her life with a hidden camera prank.

Fans had plenty of love for Swift and Efron’s duet, and added comments such as “This video is nearly six years old. Yet here I am. Again. I’ll never get tired of this” and “Anyone else rewatched this over and over again just to hear Zac and Taylor sing together?” This television appearance is the only time Swift and Efron have ever sung a duet. She sure knows how to pick a duet partner, though, as seen in her performance of “Everything Has Changed” with Ed Sheeran.

Efron is primarily known as an actor, but several fans said that the duet reminded them of what an amazing voice he has. Famously, very little of his singing voice was used on the first High School Musical, but he did actually sing on the second and third movies in the series. He also sang while starring in Hairspray around the same time, cementing his reputation as being the real deal as a vocalist.
During her appearance on Ellen, Swift’s roast lyrics make references to Ellen asking who she is dating every single time on the show, producing viral YouTube videos each time. Naturally, Swift and Efron dating rumors have circled over the years, particularly after the pair were spotted having a dinner for two in Los Angeles. Funnily enough, Swift addressed the rumors on the Ellen Show in 2013, and clarified that “We actually never dated.”
