At 49 year old Robbie Williams has popped up on social media singing “I Wanna Be Like You” during a star-studded event in Cannes, France. The singer joined in the with 3 piece band and created a little but of musical magic that would later go viral on TikTok.
The boat party was hosted by Australian actress Rebel Wilson, Unigram, Access Entertainment and Warner Music – so you can imagine the type of guests invited to such an event. The party was to celebrate the launch of Rebel’s forthcoming film and directorial debut, ‘The Deb’. Check out his viral performance below.
OK Magazine has reported, “Robbie Williams looks like he’s wearing his pyjamas at star-studded Cannes event”, The Music Man isn’t style guru, but you can see where they’re coming from as the satin co-ord set does have a striking resemblance to luxurious pair of pyjamas.
Robbie graced the event with a warm smile, surrounded by renowned celebrity guests, among them Boy George. Amidst the star-studded bash, hosted on a lavish yacht, his stylish yet casual approach may seem out of place. However, Ok Magazine say that pyjama-inspired co-ords have maintained a lasting presence in the fashion world, especially at prestigious A-List gatherings like this one.
Its not the first time Robbie has been filmed singing this Jungle Book classic. He did a performance alongside Ollie Murs at the Royal Variety back in 2013. Its a fun song, perfect to sing impromptu on a sunny day celebrating on a super yacht – even if you are still in your pyjamas.
