Post Malone And Angus Stone’s Gorgeous Acoustic Duet On “Big Jet Plane” Will Make You Feel All Warm And Fuzzy Inside

Post Malone is just a musical chameleon at this point. The New York hitmaker showed off his guitar chops in yet another fresh style by hooking up with Angus Stone to perform “Big Jet Plane” in Melbourne, Australia. The acoustic duet on the indie folk hit was a real treat for fans, as not only could the two songwriters slay it on guitar, but their voices singing in harmony were just heart-melting.

Post mostly sat back vocally for the song, but just before the three-minute mark, he began singing some sublime dual lead vocals with Stone that proved to be the highlight of the song. The big cheesy grin and then the boyish giggle that Post gave after the song really said it all. In The Music Man’s book, Post Malone is one of the greatest modern popular music artists, and he’s proved it yet again with this killer duet.

Post uploaded his duet with Stone to YouTube on March 16, 2023, and it has since blown up to 17 million views. Fans were surprised and delighted to hear the duet and added comments such as “We live in a time where we have so much technology in music but there is something so beautiful about a couple of guys jamming on acoustics that will never be beaten” and “Malone looks so happy, exhausted and elated at the same time. It’s a beautiful thing to witness these two in their element. The harmonies were stunning.”

During his post-hip hop era, Post has been absolutely crushing it with a bunch of acoustic duets with big-name artists. One of the most memorable duets Post dropped in 2024 was when he joined Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder to perform a charity show duet on “Better Man.” The New York singer has rarely been heard singing this type of simple, storytelling kind of song, but of course, he took to it like a duck to water. Just like the Stone duet, you can really tell how much fun the pair are having up on stage.

The Music Man readers might be interested to learn that Angus Stone wrote and released “Big Jet Plane” as a solo song on his 2009 debut studio album. He later recorded the song again with his sister for their project Angus & Julia Stone. “Big Jet Plane” became the folk duo’s first song to chart in multiple international markets and was eventually certified 11 times Platinum in their native Australia.
