While most guitarists craft music as a form of emotional release, singer-songwriter Plumes does so with a wholesome concept in mind: to enchant animals and inspire his audience to protect Earth’s myriad species.
Plumes stole hearts when he uploaded his viral, two-part music video titled “Singing For Animals compilation” – showing the wild and unlikely effect that pop music can have on even the strangest species. Music Man readers can watch the magic unfold in the video below, as Plumes enchants a host of animals with nothing but his sweet voice and pastel pink acoustic guitar, amassing more than one million views in the process!
Plumes’ compilation begins with a stripped-back cover of Adele’s “When We Were Young,” dedicated to a ‘conspiracy’ of lemurs (yes, that is the right word, surprisingly!), one of which approaches the guitarist up close to catch a glimpse of the magic at hand, even placing its paws cutely upon Plumes’ knee.
Then, Plumes serenades some curious giraffes with a tranquil rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” as they draw closer and closer to the guitarist in an absolutely beautiful moment.
Plumes even bewitches a giant panda, who roams up to the musician as he plucks another heartfelt ballad, proving how love songs don’t merely touch human hearts, but tap into the souls of animals too. Perhaps the panda is just confused by the stranger’s sweet tones, but its peaceful, inquisitive demeanor may prove otherwise.
A cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” has a ‘gaze’ of raccoons scurrying up to Plumes, sniffing around his instrument with their cutely long whiskers as Plumes strums out the band’s legendary hit. Most people might become a little anxious at even the thought of a group of wild animals surrounding them, yet Plumes serves nothing but pure love to his audience of critters.
Even a group of tigers approaches Plumes, who remains seated safely outside of their cage, as they nuzzle each other and roll on their backs to his music in a heart-melting moment. But that’s not all. Miniature horses are equally enamored by Plumes’ serene rendition of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours,” before Plumes hugs one of them as his cover draws to a close.
Didn’t think it could get any wilder? One of this clip’s most comedic moments comes when Plumes plays Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” to a flock of birds, some perched still, one sitting on Plumes’ knee, another bobbing its tiny head to the beat! Plumes’ “Hey There, Delilah” cover steals the attention of some wolf cub-like critters, before a herd of elephants rushes up to the guitarist, at first appearing like a stampede, but stopping in a line to sway and flap their ears – clear signs of the animals’ happiness.
Plumes is clearly a huge supporter of animal rights and conservation, not only through bringing joy to the animals through his YouTube content and performances, but by highlighting the work of various animal charities including Fauna & Flora, WWF, Spana, Sara Morocco, and more, via his official link.me page.
And he isn’t just a cover musician, either. Plumes has dropped a number of original albums and singles, including 2024’s “Rien Du Tout,” and 2025’s “Flou,” which Music Man readers can find on his Spotify and Amazon Music pages.
Plumes is a rare talent whose gentle music bridges human and animal worlds while championing conservation. His viral “Singing For Animals” clips — pastel guitar, Adele cover and a curious lemur moment — prove the magic. Discover more via the useful links below.
