The 672 Musicians Of Orquestra De Baterias Teamed Up To Make A Triumphant Tribute To This Pink Floyd Hit, And It’s Sure To Put A Smile On Your Face

Pink Floyd always had a big sound, but it was never quite this big! Orquestra De Baterias gave a truly titanic cover of “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)” in Brazil, when 672 musicians teamed up for a performance at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Campinas. A mind-boggling 413 drummers drove the beat on the huge production, while 250 choir members sang and a nine-piece band provided the groove.

The unique cover went viral, attracting 2.2 million views on YouTube, where it became the group’s third-most popular upload. There’s something glorious about so many drummers throwing down together, and their beats combined to sound like a single gargantuan drum groove. The choir also did a stellar job, providing an ethereal vocal that gave an almost gospel sound to the rock classic. Pink Floyd is one of our favourites here at The Music Man, and this cover sure does the English legends justice.

Pink Floyd’s music from The Wall era has such a huge, stadium-ready sound to it, and it almost seems like it was made to be performed exactly like this, with an enormous cast of musicians. Orquestra de Baterias’s name translates to Drum Orchestra, which is certainly a very fitting title for what they do.
