11y/o Olivia Lynes’ ADORABLE Greatest Showman Cover With Helene Fischer

Olivia Lynes’ adorable performance on The Helene Fischer Show saw her take on the epic musical marvel, “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, live with an orchestra before an audience packed to the brim. This would have sent any other 11-year-old into stage fright, but Olivia Lynes’ performance was exceptional!

Olivia slayed the first verse and chorus with a soft and cute confidence, before notorious genre-crossing vocalist Helene Fischer joined in the second verse, highlighting Olivia’s stunning voice with harmonies and ad-libs; augmenting Olivia’s natural star power, not shading it beneath her own.

This wasn’t the first time German-Russian singer Helene Fischer duetted with a rising child star on her music show. During the same 2023 season, Helene duetted with the winner of The Voice Kids (NL), Emma Kok, in a strangely profound and emotional performance that you absolutely can’t miss. However, this duet with Olivia brings another flavor to the table, more cutesy and childlike, heartwarming and angelic, moving Helene to tears on stage as their duet drew to a close.

Bath-born singer, Olivia Lynes, made her debut in the same year as giving this exceptional performance. She auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent, singing “Defying Gravity” from Wicked The Musical, stealing Amanda Holden’s heart and a Golden Buzzer in the process.

With 3.4M YouTube views on her BGT audition alone, Olivia was subject to instant controversy. On her B-roll tape, Amanda Holden had met Olivia before her audition, personally inviting her onto the show (another BGT fix?). Yet Olivia’s semi-finals performance singing “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2 proved her voice was dynamite, winning her a spot in the final.

Olivia ended her BGT career performing a show-stopping hit, “Let It Go”, decked in glacial blues with backing dancers frozen like ornaments around her. She won a standing ovation and hordes of social media support from gobsmacked viewers in a video that’s since garnered over 1M YouTube views, but Olivia ended up landing in 9th place on BGT’s 16th season.

It clearly wasn’t the end of Olivia’s dreams of becoming a pro singer. Helene Fischer has made a whole career duetting with the world’s biggest stars including Andrea Bocelli, Leona Lewis, Queen & Adam Lambert, and James Blunt. Olivia ranks among them, establishing herself as a star to watch out for as she gains a new, professional following post-BGT.
