Every school has that one member of staff that everybody loves, and at the Don Luigi High School California school, we can guarantee that member of staff was Ryan Tillman. When Tillman left the school, he wanted to make sure the students didn’t forget him, so he got together with the school’s hip hop team and performed a dance routine at a pep rally that left surprised students with their jaws on the floor.
The video of the routine has since gone viral, with Tillman and the students dancing with him looking as though they are having the time of their lives. Every new song that comes on and every new dance move is met with a huge cheer from the students watching, and we can say with a great deal of confidence that no one who was present that day will be forgetting Ryan Tillman anytime soon.
Speaking to InsideEdition.com after the video went viral, Tillman said, “I danced with my students before at football games and stuff like that, so I wanted to go out with a bang.” Well, he certainly achieved that, Music Man readers! As one YouTube viewer puts it, “those kids clearly loved and respected this man!”
Since leaving the school, Tillman has gone on to make a name for himself elsewhere online too. The video below, for instance, which has tens of thousands of views on YouTube alone, shows him talking about his not-for-profit company, Breaking Barriers United, which aims to heal police and community relations in America.
Loved by students and now working as a police officer seeking to change modern-day policing, you couldn’t ask for a more wholesome and hardworking person to have gone viral online. Ryan Tillman wanted to make sure his students never forgot him, and with his epic dance routine at the school and now his amazing work in the community, we guarantee that many of his students will remember him for the rest of their lives.
