Adorable 12-year-old talent Nancy Tilley stunned and delighted Britain’s Got Talent 2026 with an electrifying audition on The Killers, but no one was expecting that she would do it quite like this! Amanda Holden said she looked like “butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth” and guessed that she was going to sing a lovely song from Frozen. However, young Nancy was born with the heart of a rock god, and she was there to bring the thunder big time to the BGT stage with her hard-hitting drum performance.
The Scarborough schoolgirl rolled around the kit with some rapid-fire fills and rollicking grooves on “Mr. Brightside”. She then played some old-school surf rock, nailing the iconic fills from The Surfaris’ “Wipe Out”. Aside from her technical prowess on the kit, Nancy is a real entertainer and loved putting on a show as she played. The Music Man has to say it was also great to see how much Nancy’s passion for playing came through in her performance.
Britain’s Got Talent uploaded Nancy’s audition on March 22, 2026, and it hit 270,000 views in a little over a week. Viewers were on team Nancy and added comments such as “May she never lose that princess heart and smile!! She is a sweetheart!! She brings joy to everyone around her!!” and “Nancy is absolutely amazing, I was shocked that she didn’t get the golden buzzer. Go Nancy!” Viewers also loved to see her parents’ proud reaction as she played.
Nancy has shared a number of her performances online through her YouTube channel Drummer Girl Nancy. One of her most popular uploads is her cover of Morrissey’s “Suedehead.” In this clip, she performs with her dad, Paul Tilley, who plays electric guitar and sings while Nancy holds it down on the drums and adds backing vocals. You can really see that Nancy and her dad love playing together, which makes it quite a sweet performance.
Nancy’s audition went down a treat on Britain’s Got Talent. Amanda Holden said, “You went nuts behind there. I looked to your dad who was also going nuts in the audience. You brought the house down. Well done!”
Alesha Dixon was also a fan, and commented, “Nancy, you’re like a professional up there. I think what I enjoyed the most was how happy you were playing. You just came alive. Honestly, it was such a good audition – perfect.”
The Music Man is pleased to report that all four judges voted yes on Nancy’s audition, giving her a clean sweep on her big debut on Britain’s Got Talent.
