Released in 2023, One Thing at a Time is a culmination of Morgan Wallen’s talent and maturity that has developed over his career. His songwriting is stronger, and his choruses are catchier, which was reflected in the awards that he won for the record.
For one thing, “At a Time Alone,” he won Top Country Album and Top Billboard 200 Album at the Billboard Music Awards, alongside a trio of awards for the song “Last Night”. During his time on The Voice, he was initially a member of Usher’s team before being switched over to the team led by Adam Levine. He was then eliminated from the competition shortly after. Despite not progressing on The Voice itself, Wallen did not let it faze him; if anything, it inspired him to continue chasing his dream of being a country music star.
On the matter, he said: “Some things in life are out of your control. Being the best you can be isn’t. I didn’t feel like I was the best I could have been. So I practiced harder.”
