The young sisters and brother of Filipino family band Missioned Souls are keeping the sound of ‘80s rock alive with this killer cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” Several rockers said the goosebumps-worthy viral performance was the best cover of the hit they’ve ever heard. The 13-year-old singer Stacey absolutely nailed the vocal take to the wall, hitting those big Axl Rose notes, while also bringing her own style to the melodies.
15-year-old Neisha shredded it up like Slash, giving a super classy and tight performance while nailing those tricky lines with ease. Watch from the five minute mark onwards to hear a killer moment of chemistry as Stacey hits the top of her vocal range while Neisha plays the iconic outro solo. The Music Man also has to give props to the girls’ 11-year-old little brother Isaiah, whose punchy grooves behind the kit are anything but little!
Missioned Souls uploaded their cut of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” to their YouTube channel on October 23, 2025, where it hit 1.2 million views. Rockers gave the cover an enthusiastic reception, adding comments such as “This is the best ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ cover I have ever listened to! You kids rock!” and “Absolutely great. Rock won’t die while these kids are around!”
Missioned Souls hit a real purple patch in late 2025, as they also scored a viral hit in August with their take on Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water.” Stacey brings the soul on her lead vocals in this performance, while Isaiah really crushes the drum groove. Guitar prodigy Neisha steals the show just before the three-minute mark, which is the most-watched part of the video. Playing Ritchie Blackmore’s solos is definitely not for the faint of heart, and Neisha really delivers the goods here.
Missioned Souls is a family band from Cebu City, Philippines. The lineup of Stacey, Neisha, and Isaiah is rounded out by talented 16-year-old Nace, who holds down the low end on bass guitar. Dad Secan and mother Sheena also appear in some videos on bass and vocals respectively, with Secan also handling mixing duties.
The Music Man readers might be interested to hear that Missioned Souls started their journey on YouTube in 2023, with their first upload being a cover of Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven Is a Place on Earth.” They were a hit online from their first upload, with their debut performance drawing 150,000 views.
Missioned Souls’ channel really began taking off in January 2024, when they scored their first million-view video with their rendition of Muse’s “Hysteria,” which features some monstrous bass grooves from Nace. Since then, the group has regularly hit seven-figure view counts with their uploads of rock and pop covers.
