4 Year Old Miss A Wins Piano Competition With Remarkable ‘Fur Elise’ Rendition

With her hair in a neat updo and a pretty pink dress on, 4-year-old Miss A looked ready to head off to a birthday party. Instead, she was going to sit at a piano and perform her submission for the World Open Online Music Competition. As she sweetly introduced her pieces, it was hard to see her as anything other than a regular young girl. Then she took her place at the piano, and the maturity of her performance made her shine in an entirely new light that will utterly astonish Music Man readers.

From the moment Miss A began to play, it was clear she had an exceptional talent. Performing Beethoven’s ‘Fur Elise’ along with Schumann’s ‘Wild Horseman’ with both precision and impressiveness, it feels almost impossible to believe she is only 4 years old, as she gives a performance worthy of a far older, trained pianist. The video of her performance is now nearly at 1M views, as viewers across the internet flock to see this young prodigy’s talent.

When I first heard her performance, I was swept up in the music, simply astonished that someone so young could play something so beautiful. Then I began to consider how long it must have taken her to master something like this at such a young age. There must have been hours and hours of practice behind the performance, of sitting at the piano and concentrating; it is almost intimidating to think about. When I was four years old, I’m pretty sure I was still writing my letter ‘a’s back to front.

This isn’t the first time that Miss A has won awards for her stunning piano playing skills. In the last month alone, videos have been posted online by her parents, showing her placing at the US Carmel Klavier Virtual Piano Competition and South Suburban 82nd Music Eisteddfod. Here, Miss A performed her first ever Mozart piece – ‘Minuet’. This piece, composed by Mozart when he was only 5 or 6 years old, seems to be the perfect choice for another young talent to make their wins with.

Many Music Man readers who see Miss A play are sure to question how her skills have blossomed so early in life. Of course, credit must be given to her teacher, Yoon Sen Lee, and the clearly enthusiastic support from her parents. However, many may wonder whether this is something Miss A has a true passion for and will continue as she goes through her life. One thing’s for certain – Miss A has an enormous head start, and if she decides to continue later in life, there is no telling what heights her talent may bloom.
