Meute is an eleven-piece band who brand themselves under a capitalised version of their name, “MEUTE”. Dressing in marching band uniforms and playing classic marching band instruments, they look like your typical marching band, but they sound completely different!

With their unique approach to EDM music, or to brass band music (whichever way you look at it), MEUTE have been touring Europe, Africa, and America redefining music we usually hear played from a DJ booth. The band have also had a long history of playing on the streets, music festivals, and even classical concert halls!

They formed in 2015 founded by a trumpeter called Thomas Burhorn. Originating from Hamburg, they had their first success at the start of 2016 when they created a viral hit video for a cover of Rej by DJ duo Âme, a German house/techno duo consisting of Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann. You can see their viral hit below.

After they released their debut album, the band worked very hard touring across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Luxembourg in music clubs. Their hard work paid off as they ended up being one of the most booked bands in Europe that year.

Throughout their first two years in existence, they performed more than 150 concerts. Mainly focusing on cover songs, they call their music “Reworks” as they sound familiar to the listener but have a completely different atmosphere.
