Lady Gaga turns it up to 11 even during rehearsals! When fans saw the powerhouse performances in her new “Abracadabra” rehearsal video, they declared it could have been the official music video. The New York star brought the thunder to the rehearsal with an intense dance performance and didn’t leave anything in the tank. Her army of backup dancers was matching her energy, and every single one of them rocked the rehearsal room like they were performing at Madison Square Garden.
Gaga is always trying to outdo herself with her performances, and her 2025 single “Abracadabra” is no exception. She performed the choreo from the music video in the rehearsal video, but in some ways the simpler production quality in the rehearsal clip actually just highlighted how amazing the whole performance was. A new Gaga drop is always a big event in The Music Man’s book, and the 38-year-old star def didn’t disappoint with her Mayhem era.
Gaga uploaded the “Abracadabra” rehearsal vid on February 21, 2025, and it has since gained 3.8 million views. Fans loved the clip and added comments such as “This rehearsal had no business going this hard?! So good, just this alone could have been the MV,” and “The dancers are awesome. My favorite thing is to keep replaying parts of the video and focus on a new person each time. They’re all very captivating to watch and really give it their all even when they aren’t front and center, huge props to the entire crew!”

Gaga had something special planned for both singles from her new Mayhem album. She reworked the first single “Disease” into a live studio session called “Disease (The Antidote Live).” The Antidote version was a great showcase for Gaga’s vocals and musicianship, as she performed it in a stripped-back format while playing piano with accompaniment from an acoustic guitarist.
Gaga released “Abracadabra” on March 7, 2025, as the second single from her sixth solo studio album Mayhem. The Music Man readers might be interested to hear that she co-wrote the song with a team of six other songwriters and co-produced it with her co-writers Cirkut and Andrew Watt. “Abracadabra” was the most successful solo single from Mayhem, as it peaked at number three and number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200, respectively. The single, with its bold dance pop style and dramatic vocal delivery, drew comparisons with the style of Gaga’s debut album The Fame Monster.
