Lady Gaga’s recent performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live has audiences all over the world in awe of her musical talent – and when you watch the video for yourself, it’s easy to see why. Performing her beautiful but powerful song ‘Happy Mistake’, which is taken from her recent album ‘Harlequin’, Gaga’s dramatic, melancholic vocals echo out across the audience and literally leave them screaming for more!
Dressed in a distinctive blue dress inspired by the title of the album—which in turn was inspired by Gaga’s most recent film ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’—the singer looks the picture of beauty and distinctive artistry as she grips the microphone and a celestial light shines behind her. The camera slowly pans out to reveal a shadowy stage covered in shreds of paper, setting the scene for what we already know will be an iconic performance.
The highlight of this extraordinary rendition, however, comes around two minutes in, when Gaga’s voice suddenly erupts into a higher octave and her band steps things up a notch. Indeed, by the end of the performance, Gaga has turned into a fiery ball of energy, dancing along to the rhythms of the acoustic guitar and falling to her knees amongst the shreds of paper that cover the stage.
This performance of ‘Happy Mistake’ will no doubt go down in pop music history as one of Gaga’s greatest, most dramatic live performances. But it’s not the only live rendition of hers that has been circulating the internet recently – this video of Gaga onstage in Las Vegas with Bruno Mars performing their recent duet ‘Die With A Smile’ has gone viral in the last few weeks, with fans rushing to the comments section to describe the track as ‘song of the year’!
Whether performing alone or duetting with fellow musicians, these two videos make it clear that Gaga knows how to put on a performance for her fans. In particular, her rendition of ‘Happy Mistake’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live seems to have captured the hearts of Gaga fans all over the world, showcasing her true capabilities as an artist and racking up millions of views in the process!
