Kissmet sang the most perfect Kiss From A Rose cover on a London street, but passers-by just kept on walking…

British pop-rock trio Kissmet may be new faces on the music scene, but their phenomenal folksy cover of Seal’s “Kiss From A Rose” is well worth stopping for.

Kissmet took Seal’s greatest hit to Golborne Road in North Kensington, ready to wow passers-by with one of the most breathtaking Seal covers we’ve heard here at The Music Man. But somehow, many passers-by simply kept on walking past the best performance the capital city had to offer.

Music Man readers can watch the moment unfold in the video above.

With tower blocks rising in the distance, market stalls bustling with distracted wanderers, and cafes oozing the scent of classy London lunches, Kissmet’s three members perch on stools on the side of Golborne Road, watching the scene play out before them.

One bandmate strums an acoustic guitar with a microphone waiting patiently before him, setting a plush atmosphere for the band’s two lead vocalists to perfectly recreate Seal’s intro harmonies. Kissmet’s male lead singer slays the first verse as if it’s his very own song, freshening the lyrics with modern vocal twists and starry falsettos, his incredible tones treading the line between pop, rock and soul. All the while, Kissmet’s female lead vocalist appears utterly spellbound by his talent, as if hearing him sing for the first time.

Before long, the trio are harmonising the pre-chorus like pros, their voices interweaving like the threads of a tapestry whilst bringing Seal’s subtle, hidden melodies to the forefront of their cover. Kissmet’s female lead takes the reins of the second verse, their guitarist ribboning in his own backing vocals to complete this jaw-dropping cover.

However, as members of the public walk past, the band gaze up, watching them pass by as Kissmet master the recognisable soul hit.
