Super Cute 10 Year Old Violinist Plays Vivaldi’s “Summer” Impromptu With Pro Parisian Pianist

When internet sensation and master pianist Julien Cohen sat down at Rome Airport’s public piano, a ten-year-old South Korean girl asked if he could play her favorite song. When she asked if she could duet with him, he didn’t think the tiny girl would be able to handle the intricacies of Vivaldi’s “Summer.” But when she pulled out her violin, her crazy performance stunned the entire airport.

This viral clip has already passed 4M views in under a month, and Music Man readers won’t take long to figure out why. From her first shredding riff of the classical piece, it’s clear Yeonah dedicated her childhood to mastering the violin, performing like a child prodigy and mastering every lightning-fast movement of the music.

We’ve seen a lot of viral public piano duets here at the Music Man, but the crowd Julien and Yeonah attracted blows all others out of the water; with at least 100 people circling the two, watching from the balconies above and filming from the airport’s escalators. Some audience members look around gasping, while others film the moment with one hand and conduct the music with the other.

Their duet is a testament to the undying joy of classical music for a young child, as Yeonah smiles at every opportunity she’s given, having a whale of a time with Julien who looks on in amazement at her focus and incredible technical ability. Yeonah’s performance is exceptionally natural, on par with any adult, and as the performance ends, the circling crowd roars with applause.

Julien Cohen has been posting vids to his YouTube channel since 2019, firstly formal home renditions of classical pieces including Bach and Chopin, before striking gold playing these pieces in public, usually joined spontaneously by musical members of the public, with countless uploads surpassing well over 1M views. He’s gained 3.29M YouTube subscribers and 2M Instagram followers in the process.

Born in the Paris region, 1993, Julien began learning piano when he was 4. He studied mathematics at Cambridge while taking private lessons with famed French pianist Pascal Nemirovski, then studied for a master’s degree in piano at the Royal Academy and Royal College of London before taking his studies to Hamburg and Paris.

Yeonah Kim, meanwhile, was born in Seoul, South Korea, and coincidentally started learning her instrument at the exact same age as Julien. She’s a long-term student of one of South Korea’s top violinists, Sunny Lee, studying at the Seoul Central Conservatory, and has had multiple competition wins, including becoming the youngest 1st place winner at the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in 2023.

Yeonah’s prodigal violin skills have whisked her away to concert performances across Europe, performing with orchestras in Austria and Italy, while amassing 15.4K YouTube subscribers and 245K Instagram followers to date.
