Nobody does it like Henry Lau! The Canadian star delivered a brilliant solo take on Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” performing the megahit in a creative and hard-hitting one-man band format. Lau kicked off the performance in Melbourne, Australia, by showing off his virtuoso piano skills. He then made a piano loop and made his way over to a wheelie bin and 44-gallon drum (of all things) to create a thunderous drum beat.
Lau wasn’t done yet though, as he then kicked off the verse with a mesmerizing tenor vocal. He hit all the big notes and dropped the rap parts with a smooth flow – this guy has the full package! The Music Man readers will definitely want to hear him nail the big chorus and then seamlessly switch into a wild piano solo, before dropping the chaos and going into a soft piano ballad bridge.
Lau uploaded his unique take on “Believer” to YouTube on June 22, 2023, where it drew 2.4 million views. Fans were mighty impressed and added comments such as “He is a true genius. His stages are never the same, never boring. He brings up new surprises every single time” and “Henry took this great song to a whole other level! Now I know what they mean by taking a song and making it your own. Truly an amazing artist!”
