Las Vegas teen Fik-Shun is an absolute freak of nature in his one-of-a-kind audition on So You Think You Can Dance. The 18-year-old gave a Michael Jackson meets contortionist performance, and I guarantee you’ve never seen anything like it before. Du-Shaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall is a smiley and enthusiastic teen, but when the music comes on, he turns into a stone-cold dancing machine.
To a scattershot electronic beat, Fik-Shun starts to move as if someone had picked up a remote and started fast-forwarding and rewinding him. He then moves his body as if he were a robot, with incredible limb independence and flexibility. It’s honestly hard to believe that the human body is even capable of moving like that. The teen broke up his popping and locking moves with occasional Michael Jackson nods, such as a buttery smooth moonwalk that got him a huge cheer from the crowd.
Fik-Shun’s audition was a smash hit on YouTube, attracting 19 million views, which made it the most popular video in the history of So You Think You Can Dance. Fans at home really came out in force in support of the talented teen. They also added cheeky comments such as “Good genes. His mom was a ballet dancer and his dad was a rubber band” and “Legend says his shadow struggles to keep up with him.”
