Duo Turkeev enchant Spain’s Got Talent with high-risk aerial acrobatics dance featuring two young daughters

Husband and wife acrobats, Dmytro and Julia Turkeev (a.k.a. Duo Turkeev), wowed an entire nation when they appeared on Spain’s Got Talent back in 2021, with their aerial acrobatic routines taking them all the way to the finals before stealing the seventh season’s crown.

But it wasn’t just the couple’s flawless, gravity-defying choreography which made them instant stars – Dmytro and Julia invited their own children to feature in a series of impossible stunts in the show’s Grand Finale, pulling off dangerous moves that would fill most parents with absolute fear!

Music Man readers can watch Duo Turkeev’s winning performance in the video above, starring their two young daughters and an interpretative dance story that might just blow your mind. It’s already amassed more than 1.7M views to date!

The soon-to-be champions walk out on stage with their daughters, before looping themselves into the simple pulley-attached ropes hanging from the stage’s ceiling. The couple performs their first move, placing complete trust in each other as they spin in the air, draped over each other in an incredible feat of strength.

Then, their eldest daughter enters the routine, performing the splits on ground level as her parents take hold of one ankle each, soon lifting her into the air and spinning through the ether with mesmerizing effect. As Julia matches her daughter’s splits, this time lacing one foot through each strand of the pulley rope, the daughter stands on her shoulders while being raised high into the air, spinning as the father holds his wife’s hands, raising himself up too in another jaw-dropping pose.

Releasing their daughter, Dmytro spins his wife in the air like a ballerina in a music box, before she detaches one foot and spins at super-speed, upside down, releasing a hail of glitter from her snow-white dress.

Just as you think their performance is over, the couple’s youngest daughter steals the limelight, as she’s hoisted up on a spare ribbon, spinning below the rest of her family as they strike ever more gymnastic poses.

This was hardly the only occasion Duo Turkeev hit a TV talent show to spread their love for acrobatic dance. The pair also appeared on the Got Talent series in Germany, Romania, Spain, France, Czechia, Italy, and even America’s Got Talent! Since then, the couple have performed in a number of circuses across Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

Duo Turkeev’s blend of daring athleticism and family choreography marks them as a must-watch act — their Spain’s Got Talent-winning routine is as moving as it is mind-bending. For useful links, videos and background to discover more, see below this paragraph.
