It was banned from TV, but when viewers saw Jeremy Clarkson’s hilariously potty-mouthed ad with viral Britain’s Got Talent stars The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, they said it was the best ad on or off TV!

Banned from TV, but viewers couldn’t get enough of Jeremy Clarkson’s side-splitting ad with viral Britain’s Got Talent stars The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir! Clarkson put together the UK’s most talented singing farmers and put them to work singing about beer. The farmers sounded absolutely heavenly singing together, but the shocking lyrics were deemed unsuitable for television. Online viewers loved it anyway, declaring the farmers’ performance “uplifting” and saying it was “Probably the best ad in the world.”

Clarkson kicks off the ad by talking about the difficulties of brewing Hawkstone Lager, and then the Farmers’ Choir work their magic. The farmers’ beautiful harmonies are contrasted by the incredibly foul-mouthed lyrics, creating a hilarious moment that just brings a smile to your face. The Music Man has to say that Clarkson was definitely on to something when he brought these talented farmers together!

Hawkstone uploaded the lager ad to YouTube on July 15, 2025, where it hit 1.7 million views. Viewers praised the creative ad and added comments such as “Farmers – the best of us, we must cherish them, not tax them out of business. Brilliant ad!” and “I never would have seen it had it not been banned by the UK. Absolutely brilliant. Well done, Clarkson!”

Clarkson and The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir have produced a number of viral ads. They dropped their most-viewed banned ad on YouTube on July 19, 2025. The ad again features the gorgeous voices of the choir, while Clarkson gets in some witty lines with some back and forth with one of the farmers. The ads are so silly, but it’s just too funny – you gotta love the cheeky vibe the TV star and the farmers deliver.

Clarkson founded The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir after putting out a call for singing farmers across the UK. The 34-strong choir performed in a number of viral ads for the TV presenter’s Hawkstone beer brand. The choir eventually branched out into their own performances, beyond their collaboration with Clarkson. They made their Britain’s Got Talent debut on March 22, 2026, singing an emotional rendition of Elbow’s “One Day Like This.” This got them Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer and sent the choir viral all over again. The Music Man readers might be interested to hear that the choir have also expanded the scope of their appearances. As seen on Britain’s Got Talent, they also used their platform to discuss mental health and social isolation among farmers.
