Chris Martin and Kelly Clarkson teaming up for a gorgeous duet is just what we needed to close out 2024! The two hitmakers sang together on the beautiful melodies of Coldplay ballad “All My Love,” and the song was just the right choice. Martin played piano as a string quartet backed him up and opened the song with such a sweet vocal on the romantic ballad. The Music Man readers will definitely want to tune into his falsetto in the main hook just before the one-minute mark.
Clarkson dropped in the second verse and began doubling Martin’s vocals. As she looked at Martin over the piano, she added some really tasteful high harmonies to the chorus. Martin was a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, but Clarkson let him take the center stage as she focused on adding just the right special sauce to the vocals to make the whole thing pop.
Martin dropped in to the Kelly Clarkson show on October 19, 2024, and the video of the duet has since drawn 426,000 views. Fans praised the pair for the lovely duet, adding comments such as “I love how Kelly changes her tone to match each of her duet partners, Chris has a distinctive sound and she blended effortlessly,” and “Kelly and Chris’s version of this song needs to be on an album. Their voices sound beautiful together.”

Clarkson has made no secret as to how big a Coldplay fan she is. The Texas star sang the English band’s hit “Fix You” on May 7, 2024, on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson gave a very emotional performance of the song, backed by a full band, and it won’t surprise The Music Man readers to hear that there were some really amazing vocals in there. She has also previously included “Fix You” as part of her live set.
Clarkson nerded out about Coldplay after her duet with Martin, saying, “I was telling Chris, look I’ve been harmonizing with him for years. I knew we would sound amazing. I love him so much. I’m so stoked that he’s here.”
Coldplay released “All My Love” on October 4, 2024, as the third single from the band’s 10th studio album Moon Music. Martin told Rolling Stone that the song is “really” the band’s final single, saying, “After this, there’s no more singles, because we don’t want to do that… I’m so grateful for this song. I don’t know if and when it will connect with who or not, but for me, it’s a really important song.” He added that the term ‘all my love’ was about “life and the world and our fans and our critics and everybody.”
