Han And Fran Get BGT Audience Dancing With Joyful ABBA Medley

With the first auditions of series 18 of Britain’s Got Talent underway, singing duo Han and Fran arrived on stage proclaiming that they wanted to be the first Welsh act to win Britain’s Got Talent. Hailing from Llandudno, they shared their story of working in an office and bonding over their love of singing, saying that it made them “soul sisters.” Music Man fans will be able to clearly see the joy that singing brings this duo, and the amazing job they did bringing that joy to the audience too.

Launching into an ABBA medley, complete with harmonies, Han and Fran soon had the audience up on their feet, dancing and singing along, leaving the duo gobsmacked at the enthusiastic reception. The response was enough to get the duo through to the next round, with Simon commenting, “the only people’s opinion that matters is not us, but the people sitting behind us.” The audience response online was just as enthusiastic, with the video of their audition receiving almost 1M views in under a week.

When I saw Han and Fran’s audition, I was struck by its simplicity. BGT is known for attracting the weird and wonderful, but Han and Fran felt like a breath of fresh air. The joy that they brought to the theatre was palpable through the screen as I watched, and it was a welcome reminder that sometimes, the most important thing is simply bringing a good time to an audience. I certainly enjoyed watching from home, and I can only imagine the energy in the room during their audition that day.
