Multimedia Group Antigravity Leave Judges Fighting Over the Golden Buzzer with BGT First

It’s not often you see the judges on Britain’s Got Talent fighting over who gets to press the golden buzzer for an act in the competition, but that’s exactly what happened following the recent audition by multimedia act Antigravity. With hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube alone, here at the Music Man we can’t help but think this is going to become one of the most legendary auditions in the show’s history.

Hailing from Ukraine, the four-piece group turned the Britain’s Got Talent stage into a real-life video game, with one of the group members playing his way through levels that the others had programmed. Throughout the audition, both the judges and members of the audience could be seen with their mouths open in shock, reflecting the originality of Antigravity’s audition.

After the audition was over and it was time for the judges’ verdict, few were surprised that the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. What did leave everyone in shock, however, was the moment that Simon Cowell reached for the Golden Buzzer, only to be beaten to it by Alesha Dixon, who rushed to get there first!

There has never been an audition like Antigravity’s on Britain’s Got Talent before, but there is one act that has recently been seen on the show’s American counterpart that viewers have said it reminded them of. That act was called Mastermind, and his unique blend of magic and AI can be seen in his audition via the video below.

Even Mastermind’s incredible technology-fuelled illusions, however, don’t come close to the technological feats that Antigravity achieved with their audition. To put a person inside a real-life video game takes some serious imagination, skill, and creativity, and as such, we can’t wait to see how far this group ends up going in the competition.

Antigravity have clearly redefined what a Britain’s Got Talent audition can be, and their viral, video-game-styled performance feels destined for legend.
