Angela Inkson is a solo musician from Liverpool in United Kingdom. Here is what we learnt about Angela Inkson in our interview.
Hi Angela inkson, can you tell us a little bit about your music and your background?
“I perform a good mix of genres from country to pop to soul. I am currently in the process of writing new music with my acoustic duo partner, Joshua Boekhoudt who provides the melodies on guitar. My aim is to have some of our songs released in the coming months which I’m super excited about”.
When talking about the video below, Angela Inkson said, “My first professional video was Little Light recorded by a wonderful videographer it was mixed in ADELE’S Guitarist (Ben Thomas) Studio down in Kent called cold stores studio’s it was a fantastic experience and a beautiful video”.
Who are your main musical influences?
“Growing up, I was heavily influenced by The Carpenters, Karen Carpenter being one of my favourites all time vocalist. I also was influenced by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey to name just a few I enjoy most genres of music but ballads are my up there with my favourite’s”
Talking about the video below, Angela inkson said, “Liverpool Band aid single was another great video and song produced by Tony Cook and Brian Ambrose we shot the video during lockdown it complied of many local great artist coming together to create our very own version of “Do they know it’s Christmas” Which had the thumbs up form Sir bob geldof himself, again money for this chairty single went to Shelter Merseyside to help the homeless and it was such a wonderful experience to be invloved”
How did you get into music? Did anyone in your family play instruments?
“I’ve been told there was a singer within my family tree a long time ago, I don’t have anybody else in my family who sings or plays any instruments”
Have you had any formal musical training?
“I am a self-taught full time singer with no musical training, although I have started to have some vocal lessons with a great vocal coach so I’m always still learning as I go along”
When did you start playing music?
“I have always loved to sing it’s been such a passion of mine from a young age, but these past 15 years I’ve been able to sing for my living which is my absolute dream job”

What are your most notable performances?
“I have performed at many events through the years, one that sticks out in my mind mostly is a festival where I performed alongside my acoustic duo partner. It was called Jesstival and was our friends who organised it for their daughter, who sadly passed away at just 18. We raised £10,000 for teenage Cancer trust clic Sergeant, it was an incredible event and one I remember very fondly. I have also been involved in a wonderful project called little light where I took lead vocal alongside our stars choir who are all the bereaved parents which is available to download from Amazon and iTunes. All money raised goes to our Sam’s charity which helps bereaved parents.”
What was your most interesting or memorable moment as a musician?
“I am also involved with a great event happening on April 16th this year called live aid Liverpool it’s bringing over 80 local artist’s together to perform for the locals this event also will raise money for a local hospital called Alder Hey and for a homeless charity called shelter Merseyside.” If you want to see more from the very talented Angela Inkson, subscribe to her YouTube channel or follow her on Facebook or Instagram.
