Amber Glenn Leaves Viewers in Tears with Beautiful Figure Skating Take on Olivia Rodrigo Favourite

It’s safe to say that ‘Vampire’ by Olivia Rodrigo is a pretty emotional song. A plaintive ballad that transforms into a frantic pop tune with heart-wrenching lyrics, as many fans of Olivia’s would probably readily agree, it would be extremely difficult to make the song more of a tearjerker than it already is.

Figure skater Amber Glenn recently proved it more than possible, however, when she performed a stunning routine to the song at the Patriot Figure Skating Club’s 2024 Ice Show. Starting off the routine looking elegant and graceful, as the song picks up the pace, so does Amber, and it was clear she put every ounce of energy and emotion she had into the routine.

As a result, the video of her performance has racked up almost three million views on YouTube alone, as well as many positive comments from viewers around the world. “Smooth as silk, effortless, and such flexibility,” said one viewer, whilst another even suggested that Olivia Rodrigo should make the routine the song’s official music video!

As announced prior to her performance, at the time of the video’s recording Amber Glenn was the national US ice skating champion. She has delivered many stunning and often unusual routines over the years, such as the one shown in the video below, where she is dressed in a Harley Quinn-inspired outfit and performs to a remix of Billie Eilish’s massive global hit ‘Bad Guy’.

Amber Glenn is one of the best female skaters in the world right now, and also one of the most innovative, as the videos above surely prove. I particularly love her expressive routine to Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’ that she showcased in 2024, proving that even the most emotive songs can be made even more heartbreaking with the right figure skating routine!

Amber Glenn’s moving take on “Vampire” showcases her artistry and athleticism, and the viral clip proves she’s connected with audiences worldwide. If you want to watch the full routine, read fan reactions, or learn more about Amber’s skating career, useful links to find out more are listed below.
