This dance group, aged 7 to 21, charmed the America’s Got Talent judges from the opening interview. Everyone expected a dance routine from the girls, but they got a lot more than they bargained for! Soon six pups hit the stage, and the feats the dogs delivered bowled everyone over. The way the Acro Canine Crew girls combined their dance and gymnastics skills with the dogs’ incredible acrobatics made for the most unique audition we’ve seen in a long time.
Sofía Vergara was melting, and so were fans around the world. The crew from Edmonton, Canada, was made up of a number of sisters and cousins, and plenty of close friends. You could really see the warm sisterhood between the girls and the love between them and the pups. The Music Man has to say it made for a really sweet audition. Host Terry Crews could see they were something special, and he hit the golden buzzer, leading to an emotional celebration from the girls.
America’s Got Talent uploaded Acro Canine Crew’s audition to YouTube on June 3, 2023, where it soon hit 485,000 views. Fans found a whole lot to like with the performance, and added comments such as “I guarantee you, NOBODY was expecting DOGS to be part of the act!” and “This brought the biggest smile to my face when the dogs came out!”
The dance contestants really pulled out all the stops for the 2026 season. The most viral performance of the season so far was Wu Yufei’s dance act with eight Unitree humanoid robots. His audition drew 3.9 million views, with fans surprised and delighted by his creative choreography that was perfectly synced with the robots. It wasn’t all about the bots, though, as Wu himself had some really slick moves that made the audition pop.
Acro Canine Crew have only made a single appearance on America’s Got Talent so far. The Music Man has to say they really made their appearance count though, as it’s the only dog act in the history of the show to score a golden buzzer. Terry was not the only one who was on team Acro Canine. Sofía made how much she loved the act very clear throughout the performance. After the audition, Sofía said she also planned to give them her golden buzzer, commenting, “I was about to do it – he didn’t give me time to do anything.”
