You’ve Never Heard Guns N’ Roses Rocked Like This – Wait Until You See What Thai School Girl Guitarist Petty Rock Can Do!

Bangkok is a long way from Los Angeles, but two Thai school girls proved that rock and roll goes way beyond borders with this epic cover of “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” The youngsters performed after school one day, still in their uniforms, but their rock chops went way beyond their years! Both girls really nailed the vocals, and the guitarist Petty Rock shredded the big solo just like Slash.

The real star of the show as far as commenters were concerned was the toddler backup dancer, who adorably grooved along while her bandmates rocked out. The toddler was holding a microphone throughout the song, so when she learns to sing, this dynamic duo is set to turn into a terrific trio! Rockers and rollers will definitely want to tune into this one, as the band’s cover of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” blew up online with 3.7 million views.

The performance was fronted by guitarist Vimolwan Saisathit, who is nicknamed Petty and performs under the name Petty Rock. She performed with her friends on April 28, 2023, at the Siam Indy Stage in Siam Square One, which is a shopping mall in central Bangkok. YouTuber Stop uploaded the performance the following day, and it quickly went viral. Petty Rock also has her own YouTube channel, PettyRock, where she has gained 169,000 subscribers.

Fans online really enjoyed Petty Rock’s Guns N’ Roses cover and added comments such as “This whole performance made me smile. Guitar player really nailed it – great chops, plenty of swagger and attitude. Awesome lead vocals too, and the onstage dancer in yellow had great stage presence.” One of the popular performances on Petty’s channel showcases her performing Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” on a talent show when she was just seven years old – and yes, she does shred the iconic solo.

Petty was born on December 7, 2009, and she is currently 14 years old. She is primarily active on YouTube, where she uploads approximately one video a month. Her channel showcases her live and studio covers of rock and metal tunes.
Several of Petty’s most popular videos feature her performances on talent shows, including her performance on Asia’s Got Talent when she was seven years old. The most popular video on Petty Rock’s YouTube channel features her performance on a televised Thai talent show, and has attracted 1.3 million views.
