Taylor Swift And Brendon Urie Mage Magic At 2019 Billboard Music Awards

At the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift wowed the audience and the world when she performed a live version of her hit song “ME!”, with none other than Brendon Urie of Panic! At the Disco. As one would expect, it was full of glamour, incredible choreography, and pitch-perfect vocals that would be the envy of any Taylor Swift or Brendon Urie fan. This Billboard Music Awards performance only made the song even happier and cuter than before, and more popular to boot.

The entire show was a production powerhouse, with a dramatic light show, costumed backing performers, and an elaborate stage setup that would only be fitting for a performer as popular as Taylor Swift. As a swarm of marching drummers walked through the crowd and onto the stage, everyone knew that they were in for a spectacle! Wearing an elegant sequined dress, Taylor Swift dressed to impress as she performed one of the most memorable performances of the Billboard Awards 2019. Watch here:

Urie looked the part, too. Fans were shocked to see that he did not walk onto the stage, but instead was propelled down from above, holding an umbrella, to mimic him floating to the ground! It only added to the overall spectacle of the show, and with Urie wearing a bright and powerful shirt with striking pink boots, he certainly made an impression on the electric crowd. As the song ended, backing performers floated in the air holding umbrellas, creating a feeling of magic in the air.

Panic! At the Disco was known as one of the pivotal pop-rock bands of the 2000s. Formed in 2004, they created many hits that would help define the early 21st-century pop-rock genre, such as “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”. The band became a solo project of Brendon Urie from 2015 until the project was discontinued in 2023, with the band’s music becoming more pop-influenced as time went by. One of the last songs released by the project was “Viva Las Vengeance”. Listen to it here:

Outside of Panic! At the Disco, Brendon Urie is an incredibly busy musician. He has written a song for the SpongeBob SquarePants musical, starred in Kinky Boots, and has also joined a band with Mike Viola and Jake Sinclair, where he plays the drums.
