Brilliant Shadow Theatre Group Attraction Moves Amanda Holden To Tears With On Britain’s Got Talent

Shadow theatre group Attraction wove an emotional story through dance on their Britain’s Got Talent audition, moving judge Amanda Holden and a number of audience members to tears. The Hungarian group, which has members aged 18 to 40, performed to Emeli Sandé’s “Read All About It, Pt. III”, which was the perfect choice to elevate the feeling of the performance.

As they danced, the group’s members contorted themselves into casting shadows that looked like buildings, animals, shapes like hearts and even vehicles. They used these elements to tell a story about romance, life, and family, as a couple progressed through their early romance and then to getting married and having children. It’s hard to describe the emotion that this combination of music, dance, and the images they created evokes, so it’s best just to check it out for yourself!

This brilliant piece of theatre was created by just eight performers, and it really is amazing how much of a powerful story they were able to create from such simple elements. The vision, choreography, and skill that went into creating such a unique performance really has to be commended. Their audition on Britain’s Got Talent attracted 65 million views across multiple uploads, which made it one of the top 20 most popular performances in the history of the show.

Attraction’s audition got rave reviews from the judges, with Alesha Dixon saying “That was so beautiful and you just drew me in completely.” Simon Cowell commented next, saying “It is one of the best acts I’ve seen in terms of originality and it was very touching.” Attraction, which is based in Budapest, also created a hit video with their semi-finals performance set to Leona Lewis’s “Footprints in the Sand.”

Attraction’s unique approach to dance made the group a fan favorite, and viewers added comments below the video such as “This is so far one of the best performances I have ever seen – telling a story through dance just makes it that better” and “How they make these shapes I will never know. These guys are incredible.”

The Music Man readers may recall that Attraction appeared on series seven of Britain’s Got Talent. The group’s successful audition saw them advance straight to the semi-finals. Attraction then won the semi-finals and advanced directly to the final. The group performed a patriotic tribute to Britain in the finals, which impressed the judges and audiences enough to win them the entire season!
